Cheers All
I was real keen on 6bt Cummins, However I now leaning to a 2.8 or 3.8 Cummins with 6l80e auto bolted up to the LT230. The 6bt is a fantastic engine, just think it may weigh a bit to much for a Landie, travelling 1k plus a day over corrugations etc. The 200/300tdi`s go ok, Just lack a little power. I think a R2.8 would be sweet option. A lot more torque, less weight that 6bt and the 6 speed auto for travelling big days.... |

Sounds like a good plan you got there, hope you sort out the engine if it's the 2.8 or the 3.8 i didn't know that they just blot on to the transfer box with out any modifications 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
