Would they? How would that work? Large wheel=larger tyre=large radius, surely? Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

The tyre wall is smaller to compensate for the bigger wheels so your speedo reads the same. Ray

Tried to have a look, but winter grime prevents me. It'll be going for a deep clean soon, can take a peek after.
For those DCPU owners who have the lift (which seems to be the consensus amongst us that mine has) do you bounce around a lot? As mentioned in my OP, she strangely handles like an absolute dream, better than any Def of any age/type/variety I have ever driven. Note, I have never driven a fast-road suspension version with Bilsteins, upgraded ARBs, lowered springs etc, that is yet to come, but as a stock Def goes she's a blast. But when driving along a straight, at some speed (perhaps 70mkh+) she doesn't half bounce around in the rear when going over gentle rolls in the road, gutters, tarmac changes etc. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

The bouncyness comes from the HD aspect of the springs, load 3/4 ton of crap in the back and it will drive like an absolute dream! 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html

Removing the lift from mine reduced the cornering roll - it doesn't have ARBs (yet). I don't consider it to be bouncy - that would suggest damper issues. |

As Roy said it’s a weight carrier my 130 is loaded all the time and it’s a real nice ride on any surface.

Reducing the rear tyre pressures when empty also helps a bit. |

Don't get me wrong, it does handle like a dream, but as mentioned previously if I go over, for an example, a change between tarmac, 90kmh, straight line, there's a definite bounce from the rear for a couple of revolutions. Anyway, it's all moot, as new springs AND new dampers are coming soon and should sort out the ride, the look, the height etc Monsieur Le Grenadier
