Click image to enlarge You can buy replacement weld on brackets, £7 or so each. Takes ten minutes to cut old one off and weld on new one, can be done with axle in situ if you remove spring. I did the above last month. Last edited by Lotus_esprit_s1 on 9th Apr 2018 4:26pm. Edited 1 time in total |

You could cut off the item and buy a nice new one to weld on from YRM
https://yrmit.co.uk/product-category/land-...uspension/ £8 +VAT, and only 1-2hrs labour (locally) if you can't do it yourself. Less time and £££ than a total axle replacement. |

Brilliant! Thanks both
Is this a common issue then? |

Not on a vehicle as young as yours.
On old Land Rovers it’s not uncommon as they eventually rust or the damper pin wears the hole into an oval. |

Depends on where you live... the photo above is a 2007 tdci, all four were rotten.

No it's spent its life inland really. The other three seem fine but will inspect again on the weekend
Hopefully my trusty Clarke 150 amp is man enough for the job |
