A few years back I drove a section of flooded road just on the wingtops at night in winter, Short section and I knew how deep the water was. The cold shock broke both headlamps! Out delivering sandbags to properties getting flooded so a calculated risk. Scary but memorable times! (the 90 was fitted with a full wading kit, but I still had wet feet!) 1984 One-Ten CSW

I nearly got wet ,after the snow and now floods Essex is getting wild.

Certainly braver than me too! That looks like Hurrel's Lane? That must've been well over the bonnet at the other end! I went to have a look at that one the other day but chickened out and turned round.

Started fitting these Genuine fold-up side steps.

Have done the driver's side of two Defenders and it was absolute murder!

Had to shear off rusty fixings to get the cills off and then had to tape a nut into a spanner, to hold the nut in place in the tiny gap between the inner cill and fuel tank.

In the end I had to grind a point onto the bolt in order to locate it onto the hidden nut, held in a wobbly spanner with my fingertips.

Hope the passenger sides will be easier..... Twisted Evil

Skiing was disrupted due to the wind, lots of lifts closed so we drove the 110 from St Martin to Meribel to visit old haunts. The kids went ice skating on the 1992 Olympic rink. Quite a peaceful drive really. Amazed at the amount of development over the last 15 years on the way up from Brides. Some of it was tasteful.

Spent 4 days in the lakes.

First time I’ve ever took the ferry across Windermere.

First picture is top of a hill just outside Kendal on a farm where we took my Labrador to meet her boyfriend for an hour!

According to my new MoT I have done 646,508 miles in the last year... tester did not realise that at less than 100,000 miles the odometer reads a decimal Rolling with laughter

Took it back & had the certificate corrected to reflect the actual 1,300 miles I've done in the last year Thumbs Up

Replaced both rear side light units with new ones as one had stopped working due to a snapped pin.
Then decided to replace the rear indicator lenses as they looked faded and fitted new orange coloured bulbs at the same time. 1999 Defender TD5 110
