Header Splice Connectors
In addition to the above, I have managed to source, a limited quantity of Sumitomo 20-Way Splice Connectors, as used in Defender TD5/Puma and several other Land Rover models as Circuit Headers.

These aren't on eBay - PM me if interested

They are available in six different colours, each colour denotes a different configuration (and number) of commoned circuits.

As well as being useful for replacing existing headers that may have been damaged or burnt, they can be used for expanding the number of connections to an existing circuit.

For example - you want to add more switches.

You can take all the new switch illumination and earth wires back to a new header, which is then fed from connections to existing headers.

If an existing header has no spare 'ways' on a circuit that you want to expand, you can release the terminal of the wire that feeds the circuit to that header, insert it into your new header and make-up a link wire from your new header to the terminal position that you've just relocated.

Although the splice caps on these are sub-divided into sub-circuits, you can easily change this configuration by inserting a short link lead loop between sub-circuits. Land Rover do this on several headers, to increase the number of 'ways' available at a particular header.

I've also managed to source a similar compatible Terminal to fit into the unused ways on the Defender TD5/Puma Fusebox -

I have them to suit three different cable sizes -

0.5 - 1.0mm2

1.5 - 2.5mm2

4.0 - 6.0mm2

They're not identical to the terminals in the TD5/Puma Fusebox but, they're by the same manufacturer and they are a very close match - they fit into the fuse box with no problems, see my post here -

These are not on eBay - PM me if interested

They are £0.50 each (all sizes), or 5 for £2.25 + Postage

I’d bought a few things from Paul over the years and he was always fantastically helpful - and then part way through a purchase he just disappeared.

I always hoped he was ok - and I hadn’t seen him post since, but looking here he’s had some recent posts - which is great news ! 😊

I've bought from him previously with great service but I'm not sure if he's getting his pm's as I've sent him a few in the last few weeks but they've not been opened or replied to. Hope he's ok. Ray

If he doesn’t respond to this post, follow the link on his original post in 2012 to the eBay listing and then search ‘Seller’s other items’ and it will take you to current sales.

It would appear he’s still trading, even if he’s not a frequent presence on here...

Hope this helps...
