Click image to enlarge Fitted tail lead off battery with anderson plug to attach jump leads to. I didn't want to run them to the front or engine bay, happy with them on the front of the seat box. |

Today I drove to an appointment with our Police Municipal, , to offer them some money for all their hard work in our lovely little town. Well, ok, they asked me for the money first via a small, official looking piece of paper stuck on my windscreen. Whilst in the office I noticed a Paddocks calendar and asked if anyone in the team (of three) was a LR fan and apparently they have one who is a complete obsessive, . So a good half hour chatting about each other's beasts (he knows my DC well, whilst he has an 88 and is more overland focused) and I got the low-down on local track usage up our beautiful cols. Bring on summer.
All in all, an unexpected discovery and now I have an ally in the local Five-0 Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Helped a friend pick up their car from the garage. The car was blocked, so the mechanic moved the almost-new Nissan Qashqai like this, whilst on the phone.

There must be more Brits in Chamonix than in Britain! I've got friends with a place over there..
Love the cop story, hopefully you won't get more fines! |

25% of the permanent population, even more of the seasonal population and honestly not particularly well integrated. No doubt many have family members or friends back in the UK who voted for Brexit for immigration reasons not realising the hint of irony in their son, daughter or mate living permanently in Chamonix, unable to speak French, with only British/Anglophone friends and entirely reliant on British tradesmen, jobs, employment, contacts etc. A genuine clique that can rub many of the locals up the wrong way. There are bars in Cham where if a customer ordered in French, the bar staff would have no idea what they are taking about . That's why, despite still working in Cham, I have chosen to live in St Gervais. Much, MUCH, nicer town with far fewer Brits and those that do live here are fully integrated, French speaking expats. As it was zero degrees when I went out this morning, I headed into the garage and took the opportunity to de-salt the v8 as it's on axle stands.
Good job I did... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Good job I had a few cans of ACF50 in stock. |

The rear hoop of the cage bolts on to the rear capping, this is bolted on a capping to wheel tub bar, then this down to the rear crossmember. Hardly Motorsport worthy, but better than nothing.

Dropped the defender off at the main dealers ( Roger Youngs ) for its first MOT, oil service and a long list of items to be looked at before warranty runs out and the great news is all items I have requested will be done and the defender will be ready to collect next Friday
Great service from them, reading others tales of woe with main dealers very grateful to have such a great main dealer 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |
