Cant comment on Salisbury...but...
In Southampton is Inchcape (was until recently called Hunters). Not much intrinsically wrong, but more disco, FFRR, RRS dealers. Rarely any defenders. Seem OK to me, but I've avoided them for servicing. Though they did deal with my paint issues just after delivery very well. No quibbles, even though it did not come from them. Guy Salmon near Portsmouth. Ive not dealt with them, but my friend is very pleased with the service he has had. If you want an independent opinion, then try site sponsor Brooklyn 4x4. Defender specialists and very helpful. |

On the rare occasions when I need a main dealer I always use Westover Salisbury (formerly Ottons) and rate them highly.
I started using them when they were at Verwood and not main dealers. They became main dealers and moved to Salisbury, later becoming part of the Westover Group. I bought my Disco 2 new from them in 2002, and, as noted above, on the rare occasions when either the Disco or the Defender have needed main dealer attention I have used them. I have never had any cause for complaint. |

I've used Westover Salisbury for a warranty claim on my FL2 for the differential repair. Considering I had never used them for anything previously they were exemplary in how they treated me. On that basis I would recommend them.

Another for Westover. Although use Westover, Christchurch.
Haven't used them for my Defender (do any work myself) but have used them for the past 6 years for my Range Rover and previous Sport. The head Tech is a good guy and willing to listen. 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top |

I would agree that as main dealers go Westover Salisbury's customer service is second to none. I used them for our FFRR and have the Defender to date as easier to get warranty work sorted at the same time as servicing.
They will come down on price if presented with an alternative although this is a bit harsh on the independents. So I'm also now looking for a good indie round Salisbury way... anyone have experience of R&E in Salisbury? 110 UW - '15 2.2 90 - '85 V8 soft-top RRC - '84 5 door, Option Pack C, 33k miles from new --- Elise S1 - '00 Millennium SE Elan +2 - '68 kit built by my dad Panda 4x4 - '87 in Italy |
