I ended up buying new Boge replacement shocks with all the bushings included for about £25each. Fitted yesterday and all my knocks are a thing of the past (for now!) My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

Hi! Would like to hear your insight on the Bilstein B6. I've seen some suggestions pairing it with OME springs.

Well, my boge shocks failed after around 1000miles much to my annoyance so anyone looking at using them, don’t waste your money.
I decided to do what I should have done to begin with; fit the Bilstein B6 shocks. I ordered them from Island 4x4 and arrived very quickly as usual. I must say they have made a big positive difference to the ride quality of my 90 which I’ve always found harsh. It’s still not soft but it’s taken the harsh edge of and it’s road manners are greatly improved. Highly recommended My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

Please give us an update on how the B6 perform, watching this with interest.
I had Comfort springs fitted on my 90ht recently and replacement oem rear shocks (top bush worn) and it's better, but it's not great, I still have to avoid potholes if I want to retain my teeth! Time is precious, waste it wisely... Defender 90 D200 |

That’s how I’ve always found my HT, but the Bilstein have made a positive difference, especially over poor road surfaces (ie everywhere in the Uk!) My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html
