If you are happy with the rise, bush aside, I'd just replace all the bushes on the rear shocks. Rubber or Poly.

You'll probably find that alone makes a difference if your current bushes are worn.

Even with my comfier shocks I notice the bumps a lot more when it's due bush replacements... Thumbs Up

Actually Ozzie I think you may be right, mainly for cost reasons at the moment. I’m interested in a set of Koni or Bilsteins but with the clutch too it’s all getting a little expensive Big Cry

I may just do as you suggest and see how it is. It’s certainly an inexpensive fix that way. Fancy shockers can wait for now i think!

Hi Mark
I would be interested to know who you are buying your bush kit from please? Time is precious, waste it wisely...

I ended up buying new Boge replacement shocks with all the bushings included for about £25each.

Fitted yesterday and all my knocks are a thing of the past (for now!) My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

Hi! Would like to hear your insight on the Bilstein B6. I've seen some suggestions pairing it with OME springs.

Well, my boge shocks failed after around 1000miles much to my annoyance so anyone looking at using them, don’t waste your money.

I decided to do what I should have done to begin with; fit the Bilstein B6 shocks.

I ordered them from Island 4x4 and arrived very quickly as usual.

I must say they have made a big positive difference to the ride quality of my 90 which I’ve always found harsh.

It’s still not soft but it’s taken the harsh edge of and it’s road manners are greatly improved.

Highly recommended Thumbs Up My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

Please give us an update on how the B6 perform, watching this with interest.
I had Comfort springs fitted on my 90ht recently and replacement oem rear shocks (top bush worn) and it's better, but it's not great, I still have to avoid potholes if I want to retain my teeth! Time is precious, waste it wisely...

That’s how I’ve always found my HT, but the Bilstein have made a positive difference, especially over poor road surfaces (ie everywhere in the Uk!) My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html
