2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Buckingham Blue

Wet footwell

In the previous 2 Defenders i've owned, this issue has never really bothered me as they were work trucks primarily and as long as the rust was kept on top of, i lived with it.

However this new truck is going to primarily be a camper conversion, so it needs to be dry.

So any ideas where the water in the passenger footwell is likely to be coming from?

The N/S bulkhead in the footwell is wet as well as the floor pan itself.

Door seals are all in good condition however i have noticed water on the inside of the seal just below the dash which makes me think it's coming in from behind the dash and tracking down the N/S of the vehicle.

On the old cabs it was mostly windscreen seals, vent seals or door seals. The windscreen and door seals look good and i have no vents at the front, so it's a process of elimination with which i hand over to those working on a similar issue with the later non vented defenders to air their views/opinions

I've just found that!

Dash is coming out tomorrow for wiper and wash jet sorting out jobs, so i'll take it all into consideration

Check the drain valve on the blower inlet isn’t blocked. Now gone - 2012 2.2 110 DC XS

Mine was the gutter discharging water onto the door seal at the kink. This ran along the door strap and into the footwell.
You just have to work through the options using a hose and flashlight. You can cure the leak -eventually.
