I have driven quite a few from Mahindra when we lived in India and IMHO they are absolutely dreadful.
Small has a 80" Series One, , which I travel in when caught out and that has to be luxury in comparison. Interesting is a word that could be used ,just like the Chinese use it. It totally misses the mark for the UK by not being road legal.
In the US there's a good market for Side-by-side (SxS) off road only vehicles, that this seems to be aimed at. They are generally independent suspension things that can cover uneven ground at a fast rate - see Ken Block on last week's Top Gear. Against those machines the Mahindra will be slow and uncomfortable. The novelty of looking like an old jeep will soon wear off when you can't drive on road or keep up with everyone else off it. |
