Was in the dealer last wk as my 90 was recalled, seen in the brochure they do an iPod link to your standard head unit though they charge about £170!!! Anyone sourced a cheaper option?!

Does bluetooth phone & audio streaming so no wired connections needed. |

Brilliant - did you fit it yourself, if so is it just a direct swap or was it more complicated?

Basically a direct swap with the addition of a microphone that I routed along the front on the dash, up the A pillar and secured to the sun visor, there is also a USB cable that I routed down through the central bit of the dash and comes out by the difflock lever, you can plugin USB stick, iPod/iPhone or other USB device.

Looks like my head unit hasn't got the jack, it's got a bung in the front!! Think I'll just buy a new head unit!! Typical

Interesting mines going in because the IPOD socket is all crackly and looses speakers intermittently they come and go if you wiggle it, my lead cost £9 from halfords and has gold plated contacts works fine in other car and stereos around the house, other leads also dont work with my Land Rover radio. It does appear the rubber grommet to the right gets in the way but the service guy didnt say anything. Mine also has a marked clock face so that needs changing (apparently this is common) although these are minor niggles I want it perfect.
If they tell me I need a lead for £170 id buy a new radio for much less with better functionality |
