90 CSW - Rear seat belt bolt?
Hi everyone,

I previously removed two of the 4 inward facing rear seats, in order to give myself some more storage space. I'm now refitting these two seats (in prep for selling Sad ), but would like to replace one of the seat belt bolts as the current is a bit chewed up.

I'm likely doing a bad job of searching, but I can't find a parts list anywhere that includes these specific bolts:

It takes a 17mm socket, but doesn't seem to be a standard M10 thread. Any ideas on where I can order one from would be much appreciated!

Thanks

The thread will be 7/16th UNF. I'm not sure of the exact name of these types of bolts with the wider shank but a quick trawl of eBay revealed these that would do the job:

Interestingly, they don't seem to be listed as a separate part in the parts book, instead coming as a package with the belts. Also, when I recently bought new, non-LR, lap belts for use in the rear of my 90, they also came with the mounting bolts. Darren

Thanks very much, that's put me in the right direction. The ones on eBay look a bit short (need to make sure the bolt gets fully threaded through the spreader plate). However, with that help I've now found Land Rover do their own seat belt fitting kit (STC1180). Ordered one of them, and will confirm if it has the correct bolt included.

Thanks again

You mean the ones securing the seats to the wheelboxes? Yes, typically M6. Darren

Yeah it's the length I'm not sure about? 30mm?

Probably less than that - they're only going through a couple of layers of steel/ali. In fact, when I installed two seats in mine recently, I used the shortest that I could get away with and installed them from underneath so that the threads were protected and I could put caps over them:

Can't remember, off hand. Probably either 16mm or 20mm. Darren

That sounds about right. I went with 40mm because I wanted to ensure it got through the extra soundproofing I'd added, and they're still a bit too long. 20 or 25mm is probably fine for standard fitment.

Ah, I made cut-outs in my sound proofing and carpet for the seat and belt mounting points:
