Not had chance yet will try and head down later I can't imagine it'd be over a tenner. I'd do it myself but I don't have a crimp tool big enough for the cable and I've only ever soldered circuit boards before.

Curious to know if there's enough freeplay in the cable or if cutting off the clamp will mean the new connector won't reach the battery terminal?

There may not be but I may see if I can put an extension on and crimp the cables together at the same time.
