Nope none on the diffs. Just engine/sumo and gearbox.

Sump

GB washer

If you are draining the diffs its worth fitting magnetic drain plugs. Not essential but a good idea

The last couple I bought were eBay/Britpart specials, no complaints and unlike most things from Britpart, they don't leak. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

Disco2 diffs are the same.

The xcess 4x4 mag plugs are fantastic but the Britpart ones are good enough!

Ahhh forgot about the crush washers!

Theres one on the engine/sump drain plug and one on the gearbox drain plug. You also need 22 or 32mm spanner i forget which. 1/2" ratchet/drive for the diffs and a largeish (cant remember the exact size) torx bit bit for the TX box. Make sure the torx bit fully seats in the hole.

so you replace the crush washers? Is thee any special torque setting needed for any of the nuts or just do um tight?

When refilling the diffs, whatever you do, don't do what I did. I attempted to refill it using a funnel, with a short (2") piece of garden hose on the end, such the the funnel could be held upright, with the hose making the 90deg bend into the vertical refill hole. Yes, the piece of hose fell off and into the diff!!!!! A couple of hours with my fingers in both holes Shocked and eventually I got it out. Was a happy moment. Was on the verge of opening the diff to get it out with whatever can of worms that would have been, also considered just leaving it in there and driving it around and letting the gears mash it up. Was a right pain, I could get hold of it by either end with one finger in the fill hole and one in the drain, but couldn't do anything with it, kept losing it, was in total despair! Eventually managed to thread a bit of wire through the center of it and wiggle out. Just as I got the job finished a mate rocked up to help, and kindly said "oh you should have asked, I have an oil pump you could have borrowed"

Yes, always a new copper washer. Not so tight on the engine sump plug, it's going into alu... infact the torque setting is lower than what my wrench goes down to, it just feels wrong when you consider what is at stake!

I got one of these last time they were on offer -

Great for filling the axles and transfer box, just need to make sure the thicker pipe is used on the outlet side and shortened to get the pump fairly close to the axle.

I've not tried it for sucking old engine oil out as I prefer to drain it normally, engine nice and hot then front wheels on ramps to get better clearance but also to tip the sump backwards to get every last drop out.
