Dont need stands.
Run the engine for 5 mins before draining, makes it quicker. |

Cool
What is best to drain oil into ready to take to recycling center, is it a tray job then decanter into something else? Or can you get special all in one thing for the job.. |

The cheapest kit on eBay is about £11.95, inc postage, given Land Rover don't make filters there must be a happy medium?

I've bought a few services kits from Advanced Factors, they supply OEM brand filters kits ie Mann, Cooper along with the recommended oil and even include sump washers.
Putting a plastic bag over the oil filter after loosening it prevents dribbling oil across the engine bay when you remove it. Likewise a bag over your hand when removing the sump plug prevents the delightful experience of oil running down you arm whilst holding onto the plug rather than letting it fall into the bucket below. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop 1989 300Tdi 90 Soft top 1992 200Tdi 90 Truck cab with Land Cruiser axles |

Ahhh forgot about the crush washers!
Theres one on the engine/sump drain plug and one on the gearbox drain plug. You also need 22 or 32mm spanner i forget which. 1/2" ratchet/drive for the diffs and a largeish (cant remember the exact size) torx bit bit for the TX box. Make sure the torx bit fully seats in the hole. |

Are there copper washers on the diffs? If so any idea what sizes?
