As the mirror vibrates a lot, a firm brought out an attachment that you put on the arm that comes down from that bracket in your pic and rests against the windscreen to stop it vibrating i have a cork there at the moment but it needs to be replaced now 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. I know the very thing you are talking about, but for the life of me I have no idea where I seen it advertised. I never bought one though as my mirror has never vibrated. I have had a look on the www too, but to no avail I’m afraid.

IRB developments used to advertise them. Not an easy chap to make contact with. I failed miserably when I tried some 16 months ago, no real website, emails unanswered, phone calls & voice mails ignored yet many sing his praises.
