[For Sale] Safety Devices 110 Internal Roll Hoop
Hi all.

Decided to sell my internal roll hoop. Purchased from Foley SV 2 years ago to go in my 110 when I was going down the road of modding it for some more serious off road use as I did my 90. That dream never materialised and it's now being used as a road vehicle which I'm trying to keep nice.

It sits behind the driver's seat in a 110 station wagon or utility wagon and bolts to the chassis through the floor and to the B pillar seatbelt mounting holes.

I'm looking for £300 which is somewhat less than I paid for it, however it has been stored for 2 years indoors and is looking a bit grubby. It can be posted, at a guess £25 but if you can give me a postcode I'll get a definitive quote.

Thanks for looking!

Hi there!

Yes Stuart at Foley sold it to me on that basis as I didn't want a full cage. There is no attachments for linking it to other parts.

If it helps Stuart also sent me this when I asked about fitting - although it's pretty obvious once you have it in place:

"· The foot pushes up to the head of the bolts, and one floor screw will need to be removed so that the foot sits on the floor flat.

· The door stay has to be shortened by about 5mm - and the hole re drilled." Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon

Hi James,

The opening would be identical.

Basically the foot of the hoop obscures the current termination for the stay. Built into the foot is a stud for the stay to attach to in its place - I guess the stay would be slightly too long and prevent the door closing in this position unless it was shortened.

You can just see the stud sticking up in my 2nd picture, right near the left edge as the photo is taken. Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon

No need to shorten, but on my cage the thread of the bolt was smaller diameter,. So I had some spacers made to take up the slop.

Note Door card is fitted.....well that was before I tried to shut the door Shocked

Just check before final fitting that the hoop doesn't foul the cards.....earlier cages had a slightly different shape it seems to later ones... the early cards were not as pronounced.

EDIT - apologies - I'm going to bow out of this one. 100% I normally stand by offers like this, but i've had some time to think about it, and realised I need to think some more about it...

Good luck with the sale. Donald

Romadog.

Have you a picture at the top near where your head goes?

As another has mentioned can this be fitted by passing through the car.

Would this offer much support having no side supports? As I'm looking at full cages but this is better than nothing?

Where do you buy one new from, Thanks Thumbs Up

Don't want to muck up this For Sale thread .......

How do you get the hoop in?

Well that's a good question Very Happy

You will need two people so find a friend first.

Having the rear seats out of the way will help.

The fronts as far forward - out is better.

Also the floor came out so that I could drill the brackets below, clean holes and re-paint.

The hoop goes in through the side doors if the floor is out - door seals removed as well.

The brackets on the top which go to the roof to pick up on the front hoop (Camel Trophy style).
I cut mine off and repainted the hoop before fitting as I dont have that front section on mine -dont like it. Prefer the 50th/ G4 version. Doesnt join up though Whistle

I also had a bracket welded to the underside of the hoop for cross bracing. This was removed too before i hit my head on it.
My hoop is part of internal cage to rear so is supported to the rear as well.

If you have wide Corbeau style seats then as long as you have short legs then you will be ok. Remember these cages were designed for standard seats.
