Made good progress today, but it’s always quicker to strip down than rebuild.
Didn’t even need the disc cutter much. Chassis is not too bad on initial inspection but the bulkhead is well past it’s sell by date. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Ha, ha don’t think it’ll be running by the weekend, but won’t be far off hopefully.
The chassis isn’t as bad as I feared. Needs a new x member, rear tank outrigger and a couple of old repair patches replacing. Not sure what I’m doing with it yet, but it won’t be scrapped yet. The bulkhead is a different matter...... |

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Split the engine/gearbox and found clutch is fine so put engine back in on new mounts. Gearbox back in, with a bit of huffing and puffing. Brake lines on and connected. New pedal shaft, bushes and clutch relay shaft. Finally, offered up the new bulkhead at the end of the day and it fitted first time, much to our relief. I've tried some 3mm on the bulkhead and was impressed how well it went one. Looking forward to see how well it works. Wiring tomorrow |
