It a while since I’ve updated this thread.
We made it to the pub meet at Priddy without incident, though a heavy snow shower made the first hour of the journey quite interesting. Once up onto the top of the Mendips the snow stopped but the wind was v cold. I need to adjust the clutch to bite a bit higher, although the brakes are good l need to bleed again or adjust to reduce travel on the pedal and I need to rethink the accelerator pedal arrangement, it’s too light and I’m not achieving full throttle. I think the sound deadening is an improvement, and it certainly reduces the heat coming through the bulkhead, mind you so does the fact that there are no holes in the bulkhead now😊 The old bulkhead, chassis and tilt have all gone to new homes which helps the rebuild funds and I’m very pleased with the new Undercover Cover’s tilt. I’ve now decided I will do some cosmetic tidying before we use it for my daughters wedding in June, I’ll keep you posted. |

Ian,
The original date of 3rdMarch was snowed off but we postponed it to the 17th. It was I bitterly cold up there so not much time spent looking at vehicles in the car park! Andrew |

Making the most of the good weather I made a start on the cosmetic work.
So far prepared the front wings and bonnet and sprayed with etch primer. Need to get some hi build primer on on it to cover lots of fine scratches before top coating. I’m not aiming for a perfect finish, just presentable for the wedding in June. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
