2013 Barolo Black Defender 90
I've always fancied a Defender and on a whim went to look at this a couple of weeks ago, agreed the deal and collected the following day. I've recently sold a 2015 supercharged V6 Lotus Exige, so this is quite a contrast.

It's a 2013 in Barolo Black with circa 20,000 miles. I've already booked it into JE Engineering for their Tune+ and to change the steering wheel to a Startech. Plans are to change the tyres to BF Goodrich KM2 285/75/16 and put some 30mm spacers on and add some other bits like NAS rear bumper and front winch bumper with Warn winch and DRLs. I don't have any plans to offroad it as it's in excellent condition but just fancy a more beefy look.

Thanks, it's not quite as shiny now - that was collection day.

Took it out when it snowed last Sunday down a few gated roads and even let the other half have a drive.

Defo Barolo, it's very red in sunlight as can be seen in the first photo.

Why do you want 285s and spacers, just stick to 265s. Nice truck by the way Thumbs Up

Yep, 285s would be too wide for standard rims (7") imho, so it'd be 265s for me too.

I’ve seen another Barolo Defender on here with Sawtooth wheels and 285 section tyres and it looks really good. It’ll probably only do a maximum of 2000 miles a year so not overly fussed about the additional stress on wheel bearings

Not talking about wheel bearings, although you are correct in that.
I'm talking about whether a 285 section tyre will properly fit on a 7"rim,....maybe a reputable tire specialist could advise you?

I’ve read quite a few comments on other threads and it’s right on the limit of what’ll fit on a 7” rim. I might change the wheels to 8” in future but I like the Sawtooth design.

Mate, what you do is of course your choice, no worries with that.
But I think you'll find that yes , whilst it's possible to put the tire on the rim, whether the tire will be safe,(because it will be distorted) and able to do its job properly on a wet sealed road surface is another matter,.....handling on sealed roads, freeways etc won't be too flash either, particularly at speeds of say 80/90kph+
ALL, imho, of course, Pickles.
