Thanks.

Seats are arriving Monday so just got to work out how the old ones come out - suspect it’s pretty simple and simply unbolt the runners from the floor. I couldn’t see how the heated seat connectors came apart though

Seats arrived today, great service by LRI Solutions who have been more than helpful and rang me on Friday to let me know they'd arrive by courier today.

Took the Defender to JE Engineering this morning for a Tune+, which comprises larger intercooler, ITG air filter and remap to 183bhp. I didn't think I'd notice much difference but it's night and day. It actually accelerates now and the in gear torque is noticeably better.

While it was there I also had a Startech wheel fitted. I can thoroughly recommend JE, I was there at 8am and out by half 10.

Next I headed to 4x4Tyres.co.uk in Stratford Upon Avon for 30mm Terrafirma spacers and 285/75/16 BF Goodrich Mud Terrains. Thanks to Lewis and his team and again would be happy to recommend these guys.

That does look awesome!!

Not sure you needed the spacers though with 285's! Shocked

You'll need to invest in some Dirt D'fenders or Gwyn Lewis extended mud guards! Thumbs Up James

The only reason for the spacers was to stop it turning like an oil tanker. Appreciate you can adjust the lockstops but for the limited mileage this car will do I don’t mind the extra load on the bearings.

I was going to fit the other seat today but whoever attached the base to the seat managed to cross thread 2 of the bolts and stripped both heads off. I need to remove the base in order to join up the heater connectors. LRI are going to send out a replacement, hopefully before the weekend.

I have no issue with spacers and they'll certain help turning circle. Just worried the tyres looks outside the spat? Don't want you falling foul of the law Thumbs Up James

That was one concern but they actually don’t protrude that far beyond the arches

Looks really smart Alex but surely you run the risk at MOT time because they protrude beyond the wheel arches? Anyone know the rules on this? 2015 HT XS 90

It’s a risk, but I’ve kept the original tyres so worst case I’ll buy another set of wheels just for MOT time

It’s not really as obvious as some of the photos make out

Tyres protruding however small from the original type approved arches fall under Construction & Use Regs...in these days of dwindling numbers you're unlikely to get stopped by the Old Bill but trust me on this one, if you have an incident your insurance company will hang you out to dry...they also hate spacers! Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains

My insurer has been fully informed about the tyres and spacers, so unless they’re bothered about the protrusion then i’ll be fine

Alex have you ever been an estate agent? Very Happy your last photo certainly gives a different view to all the others Rolling with laughter (no offence meant) best way to see how far they protrude is to put a spirit level up the wheel and then see the gap between the wheel arch and your tyres.
Have to see it does look very smart with the nice mods you have done Thumbs Up 2015 HT XS 90

They certainly don't look as far out as the earlier photo 📷. Look great in fact!

Insurers had no issues with my spacers either. James
