There's another puma parked around the corner from me and I fancy nicking the bonnet so I'm watching this thread with interest.....
(For those lacking a sense of humour) No I'm not really, but there are likely people of that persuasion reading this..... |

I just found that I can’t respond to a PM, so thanks to the person who helped so quickly, you know who you are!

Good you got your problem sorted. You are in a lovely part of Scotland there, only been in your town once when I went down that way to buy my new pup last year. Hopefully we will hear more from you on the forum now that you have made your first post?

Certainly possible! You know, I’m almost sure I posted on these forums before, but it would be a few years back. Was surprised to be shown “0 posts” when I logged in today...
Came here to buy a pup? Funny that - since I moved here in August, I’ve been looking round for one, but no luck so far! Oli |

Pup came from a very nice lady between Dalry and Carsphairn. She has working labs and I believe this was the first litter of her own. I have no idea if she had any more intentions of breeding again but I could PM you her details if you want to give her a try? Pup is the one on the left, the other is our 10yo who is a bit more sensible, just a bit mind.

I wouldn’t mind giving her a try, would be nice to find someone around the corner. Yours look great!
I used to have two black labs myself, but they went with my ex wife... time for a new pup now! |

Hi everyone, I have just discovered I have the same problem, bonnet release cable has snapped! I took the front grill off and can see the loose cable end is hanging out just above the radiator, anyone have a solution??

Just about to fit a cruise control kit and I’ve found I’ve got the same/similar problem with mine. Went to open the bonnet and the lever moved back but would not release, got some pliers on the cable in the cab, pulled that no joy. There is mention of taking off the grill, how can you do that as the top screws are covered by the (stuck) bonnet? I appreciate that this is a security issue so would appreciate it if those in the know could pm me.
Many thanks, Chris 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black. |

Belay that request! I found my way in and got it released. Btw if it happens to you I wouldn’t bother taking the grill off, there’s no access, well not on mine 2010 XS SW with aircon, problem was lack of lubrication of the release, plenty of grease there but it had dried out, cleaned and regreased with spray lithium, seems fine now.

Guys, I have the same problem on my 2012 with aircon. Does someone have a simple process to follow? Thanks in advance
NOW SORTED: block of wood to hold the release into open position, push down on the bonnet. Time to adjust the cable |
