Here you go. I saved these images of wiring diagrams a while back.

Harry, that’s exactly how I mounted mine...think I used some builders band in the end and a couple of black self tappers. I too needed a little cutting away in the metal column but a dremel sorts it easy enough. The column shroud needs cutting back carefully so it was a bit of trial fitting/trimming/fettling to keep it looking neat when the switch was mounted.
I cut the connector off the switch and crimped a couple of connectors on and ran a length of multi core to the ECU with a spare wire for a rev counter eventually.
I got a speedo healer from Ashcrofts when I swapped the transfer box. It was fairly straightforward to plumb in. I can’t remember what I set it at but I got the percentage from on here somewhere. If anyone needs to know what to set it at for a Disco transfer box, let me know and I’ll lift the lid and check.

This has been one of the best mods I’ve done. I used to get a lot of pain up my shin on a long drive trying to hold the pedal in the same place and now it’ll Cruise for hours without touching it. (Unless I press the window switch of course Rolling Eyes )

Good Work Steve. I’ll be using a speedo healer in mine as I have a disco 1.2 box.

Sorry about wishing to be spoon fed on this Embarassed but could anyone who has used the disco switch write a list of wire colours to ecu pin numbers please? ie: blue/black/green wire on column switch to x PIN number on ecu and maybe for the disco on off switch too. I can figure our wiring diagrams but it really does fry my brain Rolling with laughter Ray

Good idea, that would be remarkably handy, I have got wire and pins from Martin and he supplied me different colours.

That's interesting, when I fitted mine last year there wasn't a plug and play solution available. My speedo-healer just came with about 5 feet of wire with 4 bare ends in the colours I mentioned further back. Given the plug set-up on the link, this will sort the CC but also alter your speedo reading.

Steve C3 - it may well have been your images that I stumbled across after spending too long on Google, if so thank you very much. I have exactly the same problem as you on long journeys and it's made a heck of a difference, along with the throttle peddle spring mod Very Happy 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

There are tons of sets of instructions on their website which make it a bit confusing and they all seem to be for motorbikes but click the link above and scroll down to the 'online calculator' option near the bottom. Assuming you already know roughly the percentage correction then select the 'None' option and enter the number you think, it will produce a set of tailored instructions Thumbs Up In my case I guessed at 7% variation (285 75 r16 tyres, v8 5th gear ratio and standard 1.4 Tbox) which has done the trick perfectly. The Speedohealer remembers the last setting so it won't need re-doing if you disconnect the battery etc.

If you need to work out the difference in gearing beforehand, there is a handy calculator on the Ashcroft website Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

AJC, You are basically interrupting the Vehicle speed signal into the ECU by diverting it through the Speedo Healer (SH). Just make sure you connect the correct wire INTO and OUT of the SH.

Just had a look at my set up and the connections are as follows:

Red feed to a fused live.

PIN13 Yellow Wire on the Black plug (Vehicle Speed) cut and connected each tail to the SH:
Connect the GREEN SH wire to the ECU side of the cut wire.
Connect the WHITE SH wire to the LOOM side of the cut wire.

Set the speed adjustment using the instructions. I've just checked mine and its set for -15%. Running on 235/85 16 and a Disco transfer box. With a Stage 1 tune, it'll sit at 50+ on the motorway and pull uphill when it needs to. There is a moments delay sometimes when you get to a hill so you slow a couple of MPH until the ECU notices the drop in road speed and ups the revs to pull you up.

Ok, so I have both switches in front of me now. Anyone fancy adding ecu PIN numbers to wire colours/switch PIN numbers? Would make a very helpful great sticky for anyone else fitting cruise.

Black and green wires look to be coming from the set switch and blue from res

And we have 1,2,3,4,5 on the on/off switch (yuh000170puy)

Ray, you' don't needs to use the Disco on/off switch. Juts a simple carling on off switch instead.

I prefer the look of genuine switches though Embarassed I think the on off switch will just be an in and out, an earth and an illumination just like the spot light switch. I'm going to put one of my blank caps on and try and get a matching decal so it fits in the dash and looks factory Thumbs Up Ray

The D2 cruise control binnacle switch is a straight-forward, latching, live-switching on/off switch, using the White 5-way switch connector.

It's wired exactly the same as the Defender and D2 heated seat switches, and the Defender heated rear window switch -

Pin. 1 - Live IN

Pin. 2 - Illumination Live

Pin. 3 - Not Used (but is internally connected to Pin. 5 - Earth)

Pin. 4 - Live OUT (switched)

Pin. 5 - Earth Paul.

Nothing wrong with the genuine look, but... Where are you going to mount it considering the swept-back switch cover? Have often thought about this and not come up with an elegant genuine fitment look.

Nearest is a carling switch - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173007306602?var=471778027501
