Has anyone got a 90 rear tub for sale? Must be from a tdi with the fuel filler near the front, a td5 one is no good to me. Reasonable condition as I accept it will have dents/scrapes and corrosion.
The closer to Northamptonshire the better |

What sort of damage has it got, as long as it’s reasonably straight down the sides I’ll be interested. I will be cutting 4inches off the rear so if there’s damage on the rear corners then that’s not a problem.

You can use a TD5 rear tub as I had a similar problem when I rebuilt my project TDi and changed the rear tub to a TD5 one, so I installed a pipe to run from the TD5 back filler to the under seat tank. I got a stainless steel exhaust manufacturer to make up the pipe for me think at the time it cost somewhere in the region of 50.00 and works a treat.
You will also need a length of rubber tubing to extend the breather pipe all the original rubber hoses from filler neck and fuel tank are still used, though I bought new OEM ones. It really is a simple job to fit once you have the stainless pipe and a few hose clips. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Holes near the back doesn't matter, as said I'll be cutting 4inches out at the rear and fitting a full cage. A trimmed bulkhead sounds interesting also as I have thought about doing that. |
