Load liners / sound proofing and fitting
Looking at the genuine LR rubber load liner for my td5 SW or perhaps the Exmoor trim load liner with sound proofing built in. Just wondering your opinions as I could just get some carpet underlay and put the genuine mat on top.

Also is it best to remove the bench seats to fit or cut grooves etc?

When I did mine recently, I fitted the sound proofing but cut holes out for the seat fixing:

I carpeted the entire tub and then put a rubber mat over the top:

Nice , did you just buy regular carpet and cut to fit? Did you spray glue it all?

No, it's a stretchy nylon stuff especially intended for vehicles stuck down with spray glue. There's a bit more detail here:

I didn't include a specific link but if you put 'veltrim' or something like 'van carpet' into eBay, you'll find there are lots available. Darren

There's a genuine LR version that does floor and wheel boxes in one piece but it's not cheap. https://www.famousfour.co.uk/new_parts/ff_part?part=6797

Had one in my old 90, it looked nice but was not very thick, if you are hoofing logs into the back then the wheelboxes will still dent. As cheaper and more sturdy options I'd look at, chequer, buffalo board or stable matting Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

Cheapest solution would be a few rubber mats used in stables, get the 38mm stuff, its designed for 650kg + horses to walk on, it'll do the job well

Has anyone done anything that will fix over the stepped arch of a station wagon in rubber as well as the floor space? I want to avoid carpet.
