I understand what your saying mate regarding a new account etc but I'm asking how to get the alarm working again not how to bypass it..
What would people like me to do to prove I'm not a "scroat" |

Not sure anyone who refers to a Land Rover as a 'jeep' should be accepted on here anyway.

No offence meant mate but its difficult when anyone starts the forum as lots join to ask advice about a problem they have ..its a catch 22 you probably want an answer quickly but most will not want to answer until you have made enough posts to use the pm system and perhaps post a few picks in your gallery....and its an alarm question fix or break are two sides of the same coin.

Click image to enlarge when you make a post at he bottom where you press submit there is a choose photo section and if its on your phone or computer you can upload it to your gallery(but you ave already done this) and then add it to your post or leave it in your gallery and others can see your photos if they press your gallery by pressing the ribbonat the bottom of your post. |

I have done some more digging today took the clocks out and found a connector unplugged and another wire cut and just dropped down the back
Is the connector meant to be plugged into the snipped wire? Has anyone got any pictures off the looms behind there clocks? If anyone can genuinely help me and are unsure due to me being a new member please PM me and i will be happy to prove proof of purchase and some id from myself as there is nothing dodgy about me. Thanks |

Don’t worry about forum police officers.
You seem to have two alarm modules there (10AS it’s called) for some reason. Perhaps one was faulty and has been bypassed? Does the vehicle run and drive okay? Do the wipes wok okay if you plug them back in? |

Am i only supposed to have the one green module and i have two? It starts and runs fine with no issues, but the with no fob i have no alarm/central locking etc. I dont want to plug the wiper back in just incase the alarm starts going off its head and i cant disable it?

I think i have worked out myself now i know there should only be one box. The defender has electric windows and remote central locking fitted so has the better alarm box fitted the must off bought a lower spec alarm box and plugged that in instead.
Does anyone know what the connector should be plugged into? Or if they are all like that. |

I understand the being cautious about parting with info, as per an earlier thread I started, Declan from Liverpool wrote me a note to say he had purchased my crashed "jeep"he called it a jeep and at no point called it a LR or defender etc. (actually a 300 1996) but gave no details of the vehicle and wanted me to send its history and details of the imobiliser. It's a difficult call wanting to help a new owner but not helping ring defenders.
I am new and I think you have to accept a bit of concern. |
