I would like to know how to bypass the alarm of a Td5. Sounds strange, but I hate the thing. I do have a nanocom 1st generation.
Never really found out how to do it.

you certainly don't need 2x 10AS.

they are easy to configure and the specs as in window lift etc can be determined by the part number.
The wiring diagrams are easy to find on the internet and if you were here I would happily receive you in our garage.. if you are the owner with papers that is.

Which brings me to the security thing that many here are righfully a bit worried about.
I usually ask for a pic of the legal papers and the number plate.. and then I can see in 2 minutes on the national register if all is fine. THEN I will get an EKA or do whatever is needed, we often have immobilizer problems here as the green thing seems to attract green corrosion.

In France there was the same feature.. is there no such thing in Britain? Fixing Land Rovers in rural Guanacaste

Right guys so i am still after some help with this.. if anyone wants me to prove i am genuine ask me to prove and i will do.

I have sent the original alarm box away to have 2 remote fobs made, when i received it back when i plugged it in the central locking and alarm works but the immobiliser will not deactivate?

Im guessing it has something to do with the snapped wire going into the grey block connector in the alarm box? Or the connector which is not connected into anything? Can someone please help me as i really want the central locking working

Thanks, any idea where does it or is it a land rover job?

Found out now the snapped wire isnt a snapped wire its for a aerial so isn't connected to anything!

While you’re at it. Lengthen the wire about 4 feet. Run it through the window pillar and place it on top of the headliner.

Result??? You can open the car from across the street and not max 1 feet from the car. Just another costsaving by jlr a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover

The AS10 and the ECU have to be told to work together before you can start the engine.

About disabeling the Alarm, you can tell the AS10 not to give an alarm and let the engine be started always. But the AS10 has te stay in place. Or you can let your ecu to be rebuild and then you can work without the AS10. You see this a lot in competion Td5's

Bell autoservices can do this for you. Roel

As above, you need to get the engine ECU and the 10AS box "paired" (learning). Any independent LR place can do this, but obviously you can't drive anywhere.

Someone *might* come out to you with a diagnostic system.

But without the immobiliser code learn done it won't de-immobilise.

Thanks for all the info guys.

The issue is now sorted, it was in having a Clifford 650 fitted and they have managed to enable the clifford to use the central locking.

Anyone in the north west looking at getting any alarm work done give PL Autotek a shout
