yeah, self adjusting, never need to adjust for lash

if remove injectors to replace for seals and copper washer then injector slash adjust is needed

I've got the exact same issue. And my harmonic damper is new sourced from turner engineering. Even tried with other "known" injectors no change. Oh and mine is also coupled with a rough idle and s little misfiring! Hot on the trail too... Let's hope!

yeah mine has started stuttering and taking a couple of turns in the morning to start, then its stuttery for a good while,
even when warm as soon as i dip clutch and brake it misses a beat? |

i have given up on td5, sold it and went back to my old 300tdi, been standing for 4 months and fired up after first heat and ticked over lovely,,, loved the look of my double cab but didnt love the ecu,,,

Had this issue and fixed!
1. Found ECU earth post wasn’t clean and fixed that. 2. Found two earth cables from main harness were wrongly mounted on the expansion tank mounting, connected them to engine block. 3. While there also cleaned the earth post on bulkhead behind the expansion tank. 4. Found copper washer on injector two was thinner and smaller in diameter - this fixed the rough idle. Please note when doing the injector copper washers you MUST clean the injector seats in the cylinder head, WURTH throttle cleaner plus made up tool (think tiny bottle brush). Also don’t force the washers onto the nozzle as they do deform. Rather use the action of installing them to apply even pressure. Engine is butter smooth again now. |
