Hazard and indicator issues
Hi all,

My defender has a strange fault which I am struggling to diagnose. The indicators work fine during normal operation however when the hazard switch is pressed neither the hazards nor the indicators work. I have replaced both the hazard switch and the indicator relay located behind the instrument binnacle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [/s]

Evening Pardeep. According to the wiring diagram there is a satellite fuse (F31) for the hazard switch (15A) attached to a purple/brown wire. If this blows then when the hazard switch is pressed no power gets to the switch or the indicators. However when the ignition is on power will get to the indicators via fuse F21 (10A).

Evening geobloke,

That’s great. I’ll take a look tomorrow and hopefully have it sorted, I suspect it’s going to require getting the modified dash out but I’ll check under the seat first as that’s where the wire seems to be going.

Does anyone know where this inline fuse is? I've had a look behind the instrument cluster, dash, fuse box and under seat fuse box but can't seem to see it anywhere.

Ok so I believe it’s Fuse 31 which is in the satellite fuse. Is this fuse 31 in the passenger compartment as that fuse as do all the other fuses seem fine.
