Bonnet hinges rusting on bulkhead!

Having looked at about 8, 60 plate low mileage SW's at two dealerships which all had the first signs of rusting of the bonnet hinges where they meet the bulkhead I wondered if anybody had taken this up under warranty. Not so worrying but amazingly they all also had rust stains from the rear capping's in exactly the same spot. This I can sort and will galvanise my capping's but the bulkhead to bonnet hinges are more difficult to resolve as the fixing points would appear to need drilling out, the metal on both sides treating then replaced but I am not sure how you can easily replace them without access to the rear of the bulkhead as it is blocked by the dash.

Claiming under warranty will be a waste of time as usual as they would just rub it down and spray over it but the corrosion is between the two surfaces and needs sorting properly.

Mine also has these rust stains with 106 miles on the clock
