/\ isn't that what low range was invented for? it became a necessity for cars with a poor turning circle as road became more congested and parking spaces few a far between.

engage low range and resolve Mr. Green

For goodness sake the poor boy has barely made it out of his crib and apparently Anglesey is ready for his death and resurrection...

well done Waitrose, Menai Bridge store, you win the annual "just in phooking' time" award for 2018. Got to be a record surely being 4 days in to the year... Bow down Bow down

Flippin' ridiculous, Christmas and New Year celebrations are still fresh in everyones minds, some of us still have chocolate gifts left over, being the 4th of January.

Some of us haven't even had time to fail at our New Year resolutions...

Easter must be early this year..... but not that early Shocked

Easter eggs are such a disappointment (unless you go for something high end like Hotel Chocolat).

They always promise so much, but the chocolate isn't up to much, the contents are usually poor and when you work out how much you spend and the total weight of the chocolate, it is daylight robbery!

And whilst I'm being angry, Sainsbury's (other supermarkets may be the same) had hundreds of easter eggs left over last year in my local (and every year since the store opened). They were piled high on the tops of several of the displays. They couldn't possibly of sold them. I wonder whether they are unpacked and melted down or just dumped. It would be interesting to know?

Go buy a bar of chocolate. You will get more chocolate for your hard earned money - unless you have a plastic and cardboard packaging fetish?

Parking Idiots!
Now as far as I am aware double yellow lines basically means no parking. OK legal status on a private industrial estate might be a bit of a grey area depending on what signs, T & C etc.

Now industrial estates tend to have rather large HGVs delivering and collecting goods. Top car park where photograph was taken from had 25+ vacant car parking space in marked bays. Bottom section at least 6 vacant marked parking places!

Have a look how this kind considerate car driver decided to park!

there's a lot of people on the road in illegal cars with no insurance.....probably no licence either.

I sometimes wish I drove HGV's with the above criteria as I'd soon sort that out Smile

talking of the above criteria.....my dad did me a favour the other day by going to have an initial look at a car for me. He's waiting to turn right into the garage and car (possibly a Vauxhall Insignia) 'ploughs into the back of him. Said cars reverses up and makes off down left turn road with steaming front end!

although my dad was shaken up, he's fine. miraculously there appears to be no damage to his ford focus - no even a rub mark on the paint work !! ?

Coming home from Lancashire yesterday in quite honestly epic amounts of rain towing a trailer and being quite sensible in accordance with the weather, some sections of the journey were simply not suitable for doing 50mph and yet there were not one but 7 occasions when I was essentially being pushed down the road by morons in hgv s. Do one you selfish bullies, I don't have a death wish and am going to drive according to the conditions, give it a go, you might live longer. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Our schools don't start until Monday so that is a blessing. What I don't get, not having kids, is that everyone is apparently determined to live in a catchment area of a good school, ok we all want the best, but other than in rural areas I can't see how a catchment area can be soooooo huge that one needs a car to get there? Walking 2 or 3 miles is not going to kill anyone just as getting out of bed in a timely manner to not be late isn't fatal either. Or have I missed the point again? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Our local town has a main road straight through it with major junctions off of it ,and is narrow , we are allocated a traffic warden on a Tuesday and Thursday and everyone locally knows this and abandon vehicles anywhere they please the rest of the time.
A couple of years ago someone set up a Facebook site called ( Parking like a TW£T in (our town) to help highlight the problem that the town has . This made no difference at all but has some interesting pictures on the site , now we have some of the kids parking their little racing cars in ever more stupid places so they can get a picture on "Facebook " , if it wasn't such a pain it would be quite a laugh.
