2006 Defender 90 Td5 XS CSW Santorini Black
Took our 90 back 'home' to Lode Lane for the factory our that AndrewS organized - great morning and very interesting trip round the plant with Graham the tour guide who was very good ...

Nice to meet a few of the folks on here and had a good nose round AndrewS amazing 130 Wink

My bumper is only 6 months old and already rusty. Removed old paint, looks like plastic paint directly on metal without priming.
Gave it treatment with Owatrol and Zinc, and finally black Hammerite.

Washed the 110 and polished it - yes polished it. Then repainted the rear crossmember and towbar with the good old black Hammerite.

Also retightened all of the roof rack bolts including the ones holding the boarding - amazing how loose they'd got Shocked

Absolutely shattered now... Perhaps that 50 mile ride on the tandem this morning has something to do with it... Dave

I did almost exactly the same today to our 110! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Was meant to be taking the 90 to Robin Hood's Bay Off Road on the 15th as a birthday treat to myself, but on the eve of the 14th it tried to throw me into a ditch!

The front propshaft forward UJ had run dry in one joint and seized solid briefly (was still stiff when moved by hand later) and i'm 99% certain this must have briefly locked the frond diff causing the 'odd' (read as brown trouser moment) steering!

So this morning i refitted my 2nd ever UJ!

...Now to rearrange some off roading!

Took mine to the beach....after fitting my Safety Devices roof rack n ladder..£57 odd for the rack n laddder, no clamps or fittings(eBay), £85 for clamps n hardware(Safety Devices)...Bargain Mr. Green
