In case anyone comes across this thread i can confirm that the connects2 DAB splitter cable so far seems to worked for me with the stock aerial on my TD5, so no need for a second aerial.

I keep meaning to get one of these, I found that the signal was pretty poor with a windscreen mounted one 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I am planning on moving to DAB and want to retain the OE aerial, is this still performing well?
Cheers |

Yeah it's fine, some times when I start up it says no signal for 30 seconds but then sorts itself out

Maybe a silly question
I'm looking at a new radio with DAB+ Do I need a splitter to connect to my existing aerial and use a windscreen mounted DAB one? Or will the window mount one do normal FM and DAB+ Thanks For the head unit I'm looking at I was told this one... http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-aud...bestseller |

I fitted that one on the alpine window and connected to the DAB aerial input on my headunit then the existing wingtop one connected to the analogue input on the headunit. Keith

The stick on window mounted aerial is designed for DAB use only. You would still need the existing OE aerial for FM. The splitter allows the use of the original aerial for FM and DAB thereby eliminating the need for the stick-on aerial. Works for me |

I took mine into halfords to have DAB radio CD etc fitted and after 2 hours they stated there was no location where they could get the aerial signal to work so they refunded me. Where do other people place thiers
