Scotland 2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 CSW Stornoway Grey
[Wanted] Plug and play headlights.
My standard H4 headlights seem to be dull and i fancy something better such as Wipac Chrystals and bulbs to brighten things up a bit. No sidelight needed.
Any advice appreciated or WHY?

Wipac Crystal with Philips X-treme bulbs, should cost you about £40 for the light units & another £20 for the bulbs & the improvement will be unreal! Did it on my 90 a couple of years ago & well worth it, a cheap and easy solution.

I am leaning towards Wipac Chrystals and Ring 130 Xenons?

Bought mine from my local Indy - Keith Gott in Alton but they are all over the Internet & ebay so the choice is yours.

Wipac crystals from paddocks, osram night breaker bulbs and a boomslang headlight loom from paddocks. The loom supplies the headlights via relays which remedies the headlight switch burning out.

^^^^^^ the improved loom is 'the dog's bCensoreds'.

Seriously. I'd never heard of it, and got new lights and all - but having done the loom improvement (a 30/40 minute job) I'm not sure I'd really have bothered changing the originals. 14v to the bulbs, as opposed to the 11v or whatever it was. Night and day.

That said, I got my SVX Crystals from 'Bolt on Bits' on ebay - can't really fault them at all. Try the link for the 'tinkering' thread in my sig. One of the last posts has some pics showing the SVX lights via an improved loom. Donald
