12mm x 50mm 8.8 bolt and haft nut
![]() STEERING ADJUSTMENT STEERING LOCK STOPS Service repair no - 57.65.03 Check 1. Measure clearance between tyre wall and radius arm at full lock. This must be not less than 20 mm. Adjust 2. Loosen stop bolt locknut. 3. Turn stop bolt as required. 4. Tighten locknut. 5. Check clearance between tyre wall and radius arm on each lock. NOTE: Alternatively lock stop adjustment may be carried out using following procedure. Check 1. Measure stop bolt protrusion �A�. Refer to table for correct setting. Adjust 2. Loosen stop bolt locknut. 3. Turn stop bolt as required. 4. Tighten locknut. 5. Check wheel position at full lock. Spray plenty of WD40 on the unbroken one first and let it soak in to make it easier. Wheels and tyres look fab

I'm driving the noisest car known to man so tyre noise isn't really something I've noticed

Trying to measure the stop bolt protrusion today, not exactly an easy place to get a accurate measurement. It's around 50mm at the moment , but I could do with working out a way of accurately measuring it before adjusting. I haven't quite wrapped my head around how they work yet either , will wait for a dry day before I have a go at them.

Adjusted one bolt but 50mm bolts are too short to get the required measurement as per the above table .

that's odd from LR work shop manual i haven't try this set up with 265 75 16

Yup, obviously u can get the right length but there is no thread other side to fit a nut
