Beltin now at the risk of being a pain.
Foam seals glued to the vents only? Just read a thread where they stuck foam to the flap and rubber to the bulkhead http://www.defendersource.com/forum/f6/ven...43884.html |

They are well handy to have in the summer, Here is a funny story for you regarding these vents, When I bought 1st bought my landy, I never checked that the vents were shut properly at all, after a good two months or so driving up and down a 70 mph road with the very cold wind blowing through the front vents etc and here's me thinking that the heater takes and age to warm up. I thought about adding a plug in heater thing just to keep warm! It wasn't until my mum happened to walk past and clock that my vents were a good few mill up compared to theirs, she then twigged on about me saying about how cold it was. The handles were down about 3 to 4 clicks! so no the wonder procta here was turning to brass!
So do make sure lads that they are well closed up for the winter! Last thing you want is to be brass monkeys going to work! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

I'm a regular messiah today - lots of thread resurrections....
After the advice and decision to fit foam, why go for rubber?? I think I'm going to need to have a look at mine again, so would like to go for whatever really does seal the best. Changed from foam to rubber as it had a slight leak that showed itself in the drivers footwell. So foam was probably fine but as it had rubber originally replacing with rubber kept in line with original. Still got my leak btw.
