Yes it is, at least the engine has yellow oil filler and dip stick and 300tdi plastic cover. Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.

shropshiredefender Thank you!
How much would you value an unmolested 300Tdi 110 with slightly over 100k on the odometer? I know this is very subjective, but I hope to get a range before I drive for 3 hours to see it. Rust looks minor, lots of panel dents, but comes with service history for 15+ years so I know its not stolen. Any idea how I can tell if the engine is in good working order? As you can probably tell, I have no experience with this sort of thing as I own a TDCi |

Do you have any other pictures? It's hard to gauge value as there is so many determining factors. (I have a 200Tdi).
I remember looking at this vehicle online somewhere (eBay?) as the shiny black top intercooler hose is familiar and what could be oil/diesel on the left hand side of the engine cover. Look out for leaks, smoke and how well it pulls if you test drive it, and how regular the service intervals have been. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group |

Thank you mini Anaconda. Agreed, "The true price of any item is what somebody is willing to pay for it."
The asking for this is over 10k, I wanted to go back with a reasonable offer. Are there any big repairs that come at the 100k mark for the 300Tdi? In addition to what you mentioned, I assume the state of the chassis matters as well? I got a rust treatment done on mine when it was just 1 week old, I doubt most owners cared for that in 94/96. I saw a beautiful blue county 300tdi go for £8995, 1 month ago but Nene overland has one for 21k+ http://www.dillers4x4s.co.uk/land-rovers-f...-value.htm |

Shinny intercooler hose would indicate rubbing on the bonnet from I can see from the pic, you can see the two coolant hoses have been zip tied together, make sure you check the smaller one for wear underneath, people tend to lean on it and damage the plastic bracket that holds it, this causes the pipe to rub against the water pump pulley.
300tdis are fairly bulletproof, water pumps and belt tensioners seem to be the main engine items I replace, if you take along a 15mm socket and long breaker bar you can release the tension on the belt and check those two items for play. Corrosion on the bulkhead and chassis need to be checked in the normal places and seatbelts for damage against the locking mechanism. Oh another often over looked item is the four rubber mounts for the air filter housing, these are often perished. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ Everything looks in place, , the next mechanical issue at that milage will be the clutch arm [ slave rod busts thru,] usually about 130,00 miles, mines did and a few friends at 140,000. otherwise great motors, mines is on 345,000 miles,
and have full documented sevice history, still on the original Turbo, and injection pump, |

yeah that's a 300 as others have mentioned, the 200 is more further back and more lower down. Me and my dad spent an hour comparing the two engines.
A few things are the same but not in the same place, also looks like its had the EGR binned and blanked, That was one of the 1st things I did with mine under the bonnet, was bin that off. So looks like its been looked after straight away. I had a major leak at the intercooler end, who ever had it before me had the pipe welded for some reason. Also check if its got a cat in the system, if it has, get that binned straight away.
