The roof if done well will make a big difference, as for the bonnet, sound deadening doesn't stop noise so it won't cut down engine noise only resonance from the bonnet itself. Ray

Headlining removal seems like an enormous task but its actually quite straight forward and simple. Just buy some more of the "tree" fixtures as you'll no doubt break/damage a few.
I used Fatmat (Dynamat alternative, just as good, half the price) and acoustic eggshell foam usually used in studios and and the like for the roof. Stuck the foam down with high temp spray adhesive. Made quite a big difference I wasn't concerned with the foam soaking up water as my roof was totally water tight, though I did run some silicone over any joints first. |

I used this on the underside of the bonnet and very pleased with it. Was considering doing the roof in the hard top as well, as the finish looks neat enough...
