Update. Spoke to LR customer services and they have advised that there is nothing they can do and that I need to take this up with the retailer.
To be honest this is what I expected but it has been useful. My wifes Porsche Cayenne is due for a change in a couple of months and we had been toying with the idea of buying a Range Rover. Based on this response and in comparison with the level of service we get from Porsche, there is not a chance that I would buy another JLR product. |

Sorry to hear this.
I know from experience you have to phone LR assist to get a decent car. |

Not prepared to share the full details online but both the dealer and JLR are worse than Feckin useless.
Life is way too short and I am simply not willing to put up with what I experienced. I can only hope that the widely reported quality issues being experienced across the range, the hemoraging residuals and the piles of unsold bling mobiles results in the outcome they deserve. |

This is terrible and I too have had a crap time with LR and that's partly why I sold the Heritage, although they car was fine.
I've just bought another which is 3 years old but I'll be using Promec for its servicing and I'll use a local body shop for any paint issues and take the hit myself. Your Defender set up looked FAB and am sad that you sold up. I love the Defender but also think LR customer care and the local dealership leave a lot to be desired. I couldn't even get an invite to the launch of the Ewok convertable 😂 even after buying 3 Defenders from them |

Yes, Im afraid any masochistic desires I may have will be satisfied in other ways not by owning a late model Defender.

Did the buyer not know about the fault or just confident they could fix it? |
