it was pretty oily under there where the injector seals had been blowing oil mist everywhere. I suppose it took about 15 min to clean it and get it looking like that. It lasts well too.

Hi.
Is there anywhere you shouldn't spray that stuff under the bonnet, or can it go all over and then gently rinse off. That looks superb mate. |

i just slosh it everywhere.
So long as you don't use a high pressure lance to wash it all off again. The only problem i've ever had is on petrol engines where the plug leads have made the engine miss a bit where they're wet, but just leave it to drain off a bit before running the engine and all is fine. The Autoglym vinyl and rubber care i just spray everywhere, it's not caused any issues. If you just wash it off with the hyperclean it'll leave the plastics looking a bit dull and grey but it doesn't hurt them. Defenders are designed to be driven through floods after all, so low pressure water on the outside of the engine isn't going to do it any harm. |
