I've not made any progress due to having to get a wine store finished before the first hard frost of the year. So I've brought a bunch of parts... plus a set of 5 16x8 et20 Staun Outback TX-1 alloys
They need some tlc but that'll have to wait until next summer, i'll get some pics up tomorrow 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |

My dad had to fab a bracket for the locking mechanism as it wasn't functioning properly, will have to do the same on the other door too
Click image to enlarge Good old britpart, the 3 mounting points weren't straight and one of the threads was damaged, had to get a scaffolding pole on them to get it straight Click image to enlarge Ground down the wheel nuts to compensate for the unaligned mounting points as it was too difficult to bend them the correct amount to align it, the nuts are 22mm and the lug holes are about 23mm! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Got too dark for me to take any good pics but hopefully i'll get you guys some next weekend Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The TX-1 alloy lug holes are made to very low high tolerances, not the easiest alloys i've ever had to work with for sure! I do really like them though. I'll probably put these Scorpions on Nakatanenga ANR Classic Steels if that group buy happens and put some 285 insa turbos on these. 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |

I've had a bit of the black dog with my 90 as I had to leave the project for a while due to a promotion, then when I came back to it, it was one after the other for a while:
White smoke on the exhaust - fitted new head gasket and ground in the valves Noisy power steering - fitted new power steering pump and brought some BFG 235/85 KM2 to go on the wolf steels and Michi Cross Contact 235/85 to go on some boosts (for the winter) Broke the exhaust - fixed it for now but need another one Brakes failed again - fitted ANOTHER new master cylinder I think the fuel pump needs a little tweaking but all seems well (for the moment), taking it into get MOT'd on Monday, wish me luck 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |

I think this may be a common problem with the swing ways, My dad has the same problem by the looks of it, he found out when he tried to put the spacers for the alloy spare. You want to see the state of the alloy wheel, my mum went off it at him! The wheel is brand new and never been on. My dads scratched the alloy to hell! Not really sure, it looked like the original head gasket?
I've fitted the wolf wheels with km2 tyres and 30mm spacers Click image to enlarge 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |
