Below is a photograph of our collection from Clutchfix last week.
Click image to enlarge We have been busy selling these clutches and have not managed to get them on our webshop yet. The guys at Clutchfix have a long history making clutches especially in the commercial and vintage vehicle world. This West Yorkshire company is well respected in the European clutch world. They are certainly very knowledgeable and informative about clutches. Brendan |

So to continue on,I'm looking at clutchfix as a replacement, trouble is their website just talks about clamping force and friction material which is all good, but the springs dropping out are the issue, nothing else.Has clutchfix addressed the spring issue?.

From the TMDtuning website talking about the Clutchfix kit:
“The springs within the plate are also up rated by 20% (The springs are what causes many of the problems within the tdci clutches as they are not up to the job, this is what causes many of the rattles as the springs break up within the clutch plates)” Hope that helps. |

Pat, to put it mildly the Clutchfix website is pants. They are extremely good at what they do which is make clutches. However they are very poor at doing websites, which I understand they are trying to address. I could mention other very good 4x4 manufacturer with poor website. Too busy being good engineers and making products.
The lads at Clutchfix have a long history in making clutches and the LandRover clutch is ‘small beer’ when you see the size of the other clutches they make! Yes I can confidently say that they have resolved the issues with the Land Rover clutch. We have sent a lot of these clutches abroad without issue. Must get around to putting them on our website! If in any doubt ask them! Ben Williams is a hero when it comes to customer service.
My thoughts are almost certainly yes. I can find you the part numbers if you wish? |

I haven’t had the clutch from them, it’s one someone else had fitted then there landrover went in to the main dealers for some gearbox work, and whilst in there they decided they’d fit a new OEM clutch it’s only done 150 miles. Yes if you could find the part numbers I would be very grateful. Thanks, Harry NO ROAD..........EXCEPT FOR LANDROVER

I'll have a look through the messages I've sent him and pull up the part numbers.
You decided to keep the OEM clutch then, as they've changed it? |

LR068979 is latest spec slave (£62.76 + vat)
LR068981 adaptor (£29.21 + vat) LR068982 valve (£17.86 + vat) All above from Ian (IRB Developments). From what I've read through, the ceramic paddle clutch might be a little different, but no mention of different adapters or slave. Any other technical stuff, ask this bloke. He really is an expert at the subject. https://www.facebook.com/ppben |

I had the Clutchfix unit fitted last week - Ben told me that the slave is a 'one trick pony' single use and must be replaced when the clutch is replaced.
All ordered from him and feels really nice in use. After two failed Borg and Beck clutches - one lasted 300 miles, the next about 5k I'm hoping this one will work! Keith |
