Thanks Richard, had to put the precious ones undercover, the car is now in the driveway! 200 TDi compared to Puma, I'm actually really really impressed, much better than expected. Plenty of power, really does pull. Good man, Rover's first of course. I think the steering is tyre related and some new rubber at the front will probably make all the difference. It has no additional soundproofing since it rolled off the line in 1990 so anything you add would of course help. That said you can still wash it out with a hose, cant get simpler than that! Personally I much prefer the 200tdi this one has always been smooth and had good pulling power compared to the 300tdi's I have driven. I look forward to your upgrades and adventures

Yes it will get quieter as your hearing degrades over time/mileage!!! Yup all characteristics and it will enhance the feel and quality of your puma every time you get back into it! I meant to offer you a short drop plate (towing) I have kicking about somewhere. If its any use let me know and we can sort something out. You will also see the feet for a genuine full dog guard in the back. the guard is in the back of a shed somewhere, that might not surface till the spring (when I can face empting it), again if you would like it its yours. Finally fitted the new bumper I picked up at LRO Show 2016 It's had a couple of extra coats for CIO so hopefully, it will last better than the original.
