A decent maintenance charger is best for them. There are various smart chargers available, Lidl often do a cheap one. But there are also solar chargers which are quite good.
Failing that giving it a gentle over night charge with a normal battery charger once a month should keep it reasonably healthy. They don't normally fare well if you just leave them to run flat and store them flat, that normally kills them pretty quickly. |

Batteries tend to discharge more either side of @24 degC, not liking extremes of temperatures!👍

Assuming a lead acid, leave it on a ctek permanently, it will take care of the rest!
Equally, I have had batteries sat spare and just charged them every few months, and not noticed any real deterioration |
