Car will not start after battery disconnect
The car will not start following battery disconnecting. First thought was I had set the immobiliser. Used the reset code procedure. Still does not start. Noticed there are no warning lights on the tachometer. So now thinking the problem is more than the immobiliser, maybe ECU? Don't want to go changing parts without being sure I have not done something stupid and it is a simple fix. The battery is good. Any advice gratefully received.

I suggest you will have to provide details of which engine you have before anyone will help mate.

Fixed it! It was the immobiliser, the reset instructions in the hand book were not correct! Got better instructions off the internet. Pleased to have fixed it but very disappointed in LR handbook instructions.

What was listed wrong in the book v instructions you found on the web?

It could be good for other Forum members to gain from this also.

Pete.
