Stopovers, Central Spain
Just looking for some ideas to break up a drive across Spain. I'm travelling from San Sebastián to Tarifa in March/April and want to split the journey in half with an overnight stop roughly half way. Looking for two different places one for each direction. A beautiful village or town where we can get drink, meal and B&B would be perfect. Any suggestions? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Thanks Tompoole, looks lovely. Unfortunately it's bit further south than I wanted. Looking for something 4 or 5 hours from San Sebastián. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Did the same route three years ago. Drove via Pamplona (brief stop) to Toledo, which is a beautiful route (when you take A or B roads). Stopover in Toledo. From there to the Sierra Nevada (stopover in Grenada or in one of the surrounding mountain villages near the Sierra).
