Hi everyone,
I'm putting the roof bars back on my Freelander 2. They are notorious for losing the plastic trims and last time I put them on I used some of the Sikaflex rspecified by the instructions to hold them in addition to the clip/lock of the plastic mouldings. I'm a member over on freel2 and that's where I got the recommendation from above. However I found that the bond between the plastic and metal wasn't that great and the plastic moulding eventually began to come free. I've got some of the Sikaflex caravan sealant as recommended in this thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic49637.html Looking for advice as to whether this will bond the plastic to the metal of the roof bars? If not recommendations for what touse welcome. Maybe no more nails? Cheers, Jason |

Use a bit of Bostik prep M sealant primer. It will stick then! 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
