2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SW Stornoway Grey

A plan insurance

So,
Just took had a really pleasant experience insuring my 2007 puma 90.
I had already had a crap conversation with my current car insurers ( institute of advanced motorists)
They were great for my M3 but know nothing about trucks and green lanes.
Anyway spoke to the very lovely Clare at A plans Thatcham office.
She was brilliant, knowledgeable, friendly and able to recommend a policy that ticked all my modifications boxes.
Price was good but it's not all about the price.

I took the policy and would recommend anyone to give them a try. "Of Course, Of course, I ain't asking . I'm telling!!"

Can I ask if you have to lock it in a garage at night with them?

I suggested noting the garage on my policy but they recommended that unless it is religiously locked away all the time at home address, the Drive would be a better option I.e if it gets stolen from outside you house (not parked in garage), the insurer may not pay out. Bit weird as if it was parked around the corner and stolen it would be fine. Anyway, didn't make any difference to my quote which was a few hundred less than everyone else. Into my second year with A Plan and they now insure my other car too.

Just rang Aplan, Claire wasn't in but very helpful chap informs me that they will cover me so I just need to find one and get a price.

2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Keswick Green

I keep forgetting to post a thank you to A-Plan Thatcham.
When my 110 was pinched back in May

(still upsets me today), they were superb and really helped.
They were great working with the insurance company and did their best to (as they put it) leave me in the same position as I was 2 minutes before it was taken.
