twin alternator v8
Thinking of twin alternators on a 110 v8 has anyone done this. What parts are needed, any photos. Cheers steve

Did it years ago with a couple of friends V8's (used to run twin alternator'd Tdi's too), works great if you do heavy winching, as you keep the winch battery totally isolated from the main vehicle battery.

anyway, the v8 is dead easy as all the parts are available off the shelf (or form a breakers yard)

If you V8 doesn't have aircon, then you just need to get the "aircon equipped" bracketry, as they (LR) moved the alternator to a different position and fit the AC compressor where your current alternator is.

then you just need the correct length belt and away you go.

this is for V belt engines... I don't know if the serpentine is the same.
